Welcome to Ghosh Roy lab!!
Our lab is interested in understanding how the nervous system develops, and after injury how it repairs. To circumvent the complexity of the human nervous system, we are using the nematode Caenorhabditis elegans as a model organism, which has 302 neurons, with well-known connectome. The ease of genetic manipulation and advantage of imaging the neurons in live animals allow us uncover the principles of neuronal development and regeneration using this system.
